Miro Tea Art Show In Ballard this December 13th

I’ll be at Miro Tea, along with several other artists, in a charity show where percentages of our work will go to local children’s charities.

ABOUT THE ART WALK: Started years ago by Arts Ballard, and now organized by the Ballard Chamber of Commerce, this is your chance to see the brightest talent in the area as Ballard galleries and businesses stay open late on the second Saturday of each month from 6ish-9ish pm to showcase artists. Start at the south end of Ballard Ave, and work your way up the street to Market and continue. Great fun and many of the places have appetizers and drinks!

Let the Games Begin…

One of my favorite books is the “Olympic Image” a history of Olympic graphic design from 1886 until 1996. If one would want to know the trends of graphics, look no further than the marketing and branding done for the olympics. To see what the four cities bidding for the games in 2016 are up to, you’ll get a sneak preview of the future. Although, I miss the original Chicago logo, which featured a burning torch that emulated the city skyline which was eventually rejected by the olympic committee for breaking guideline restrictions. Of course, all I could think of was the Great Chicago Fire, so maybe two wrongs did make a right.
